PostPosted: Sat May 06, 2006 7:36 pm    Post subject: One month old 40 gallon breeder Reply with quote

After a kept a twenty gallon alive for three months I decided i wanted bigger and upgraded to the 40 gallon breeder that I am know happy with. Built my own stand and hood and retrofitted 4x65 watt power compacts into the hood. Current equipment is a bak pak skimmer, cpr hob refugium, 200 watt heater a maxijet 900 and 600.

I have siliconed baffles in the old twenty long bought a coralife super skimmer 125 and a lifereef overflow box and I am current looking for an affordable return pump and get my new sump/skimmer going.

Livestock - two clowns, YWG, cleaner shrimp, nass snails, turbos, ceriths, 5 scarlet shrimp, and conch.

Corals - five different zoos, frogspawn, xenia, anthelias, shrooms, yellow polyps, gsp, trumpet and chalice corals as well.

here are a couple terrible pics from bad camera. Best I could do sorry. Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

Nice job on the stand and hood. I really like the dimensions of a 40 gallon breeder.

I love my turtle fighting conch! It does an awesome job of eating algae/diatoms that grow on the sandbed.
