How long are you going between changes? What wattage are you using? I just got my new bulbs and am going on 11 months on the old, SE 175 ABs. Things are growing well so Im not sure Ill change them quite yet.

I burn XM 10 SE 250 watt bulbs. I also have an 11 hour photoperiod, so I change about every 10 months.

I run 10k 175's and a 20k 400.

I should be changing the 20k about every 9 months or less but I change all of them about every year or slightly more...

I run 2x175 xm15k. Love them. I wanted to replace them at 10mths, but the new set of xm20k's i bought looked like crap, so I am now on month 12 for the 15ks. They aren't as bright, nor as blue as they once were. growth has leveled off, but colors are still good. I just ordered a new set today.

James, is that a 6' tank? Do you notice any major color line difference between the 2 bulb colors or do they blend well?

Ha... Thanks to a spammer I notice I didn't answer this. I ran 3X MH on a 4 foot tank - so the color blended quite nicely.

That said, about a year ago I switched to LEDs. Much brighter, but as many have experienced, the growth isn't great...
